New Babies Information
Bathing
Giving your baby a bath once a week should be enough over bathing is not good on the skin and your baby still has hard time regulating here body heat so dry them with a hair dryer and keep them warm.
Teething
Make sure you provide plenty of chew toys, bullie sticks,
NO RAWHIDE
Keeping your baby safe is very important they will chew on everything if not watched and provided plenty of there own chew things.
Brushing the teeth is very important for good oral care and this will allow you to inspect the teeth often to insure the baby teeth fall out.
Hypoglycemic
Yorkshire Terriers are high risk for hypoglycemia make sure your baby eats 3 to 4 meal a day is very important at this age and plenty of water. Keeping play time to 30 to 45 min and then rest time. Outdoor play should not be done tell your baby has it's 3rd shot.
Create training
We highly recommend create training it is for the safety of your baby they like to chew on cords and eat things they shouldn't. This also gives them there own safe place to go. Leaving the create open in the day time when you are home.
Grooming
Brushing your baby daily is very important to keep there hair from knotting up especially under the legs in the pit areas. Keeping the hair trimmed off the tips of the ears will keep the weight off in order for them to stand we don't tape. Keeping the hair trimmed short around the butt so poop doesn't clog them up. Nail trimming every 2 weeks will keep the nails short and not painful for the babies. Keep the eyes clean with a baby wipe a couple times a day.
Open females
If your not fixing your female she will go into heat her first time around 6 to 8 months of age keeping her safe and not allowing her to breed is very important she is still growing and is not ready to be a mother. AKC will not give papers for females bread to early. PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR BABY GET PREGNET HER FIRST HEAT!!!!
